Research from the World Health Organization (WHO) says that culture must play a primary role in solving entrenched population health challenges. Originally launched in 2018 at the University of Louisville (UofL) as a partnership between the University of Louisville School of Public Health & Information Sciences and School of Music, Creative Placehealing is now based at the University of Colorado Denver in the Imaginator Academy. CPC was created to advance the important role of creativity and culture in shaping the future of work and population health innovation. As a creative hub for theoretical and applied research, CPC brings together experts from many different fields, including public health, business, journalism, geospatial informatics, engineering, economics, sociology, anthropology, medicine, communications, psychology, and other disciplines within the humanities.
